On hated dictators and occupation forces

Juan Cole writes that occupations are hated simply because they are occupations. Bush retorts that they should love us in Iraq because we rid them of a hated dictator. I retort that we have a hated dictator here, but if the Chinese invaded us an occupied our country to rid us of our hated dictator, we wouldn't like it any more than the Iraqis do. At least Saddam was an Iraqi, hated though he was.
