Just in time

This is just the kind of news we really need when we're starting to talk seriously about universal health care here. From the Brits:

Smokers, heavy drinkers, the obese and the elderly should be barred from receiving some operations, according to doctors, with most saying the health service cannot afford to provide free care to everyone.

Just in time to save us from "Socialized Medicine."

Of course, the British model has never been a good one. The French model is much better. But, the wingnuts are going to be blaring this one from the rooftops. (I would have said the minarets, but somehow I can't see a wingnut entering a minaret).
