A quiz

Just a reminder. If it hits forty degrees below zero where you are,

a) You don't have to ask whether it's Fahrenheit or Celsius.
b) You shouldn't have to ask whether it's Kelvin.
c) You're in an unusual place.
d) Dress warmly.
e) All of the above.













Answer: e) all of the above.

At forty below, both Fahrenheit and Celsius are the same (Remember (5/9)(F-32)=C). The Kelvin scale never goes below zero (it's absolute), so you know it's not Kelvin. Only a few very rare places in the world ever get that cold. And, it is cold!
