The era of legislative oversight is gone

Bush set the standard by ordering his goons not to appear in response to Congressional subpoenas, and McPain (Palin/McCain) have followed by having the AG (a Palin appointee) order Alaska government officials not to appear in response to their subpoenas in the Troopergate mess. My guess is this has set the tone for what will be the norm from here on out. No legislature anywhere in the country will ever again be able to investigate the executive branch of government.

Meanwhile, as usual, the Democrats are doing nothing about Rove et al giving them the one finger salute.
