They just make it up as they go along

McCain’s latest lines of attack that are not just personal slurs are that Obama has never worked across the aisle and cooperated with Republicans, and has never taken on the Senate Democratic leadership. Wrong, false, as he might find out when he talks – yeah, right – to Senators Richard Lugar (R-Indiana) on nuclear non-proliferation, the very conservative Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) on Senate ethics reform, and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) on Obama’s support for a Republican-sponsored version of earmarks reform in the ethics bill, one that Reid at first opposed until Obama’s opposition along with eight other Democratic Senators shot him down.

This is by far the most extreme case of a campaign that just flings anything against a wall, with the slightest factual support or not, to see if it will stick. How long are Americans going to bend over and put up with this kind of crap?
