"Immigrant" born in New Jersey

I made some comments yesterday about the attempts by Alito and his supporters to make him look good by talking about how he admired his immigrant father who supposedly came to America from Italy at age 14, learned English instantly, and was teaching high school English in the public schools only six or so years later. Well, London Yank checked out Sam Alito's military enlistment records for World War II and reports in his Daily Kos diary that Alito was born in New Jersey in 1914. He either lied on his enlistment forms, or he is no immigrant.

Wouldn't you think they could find something truthful to tout about Alito rather than making up a lie?
