Alito loves his daddy

We learned from the New York Times today that Alito loved his daddy. I guess that's supposed to indicate that Alito's a good guy and should get the job on the SCOTUS.

It's obvious that this story was a plant by Alito's supporters. It was completely without newsworthy content, yet it appeared above the fold on the front page of today's Times. What is it with the Times these days? They pick up anything they are fed by White House hacks and regurgitate it on the front page without further analysis. They might as well just fire all the reporters and become a mimeograph machine for White House press releases.
