Damn the Dems
The word seems to be out that the Democrats are going to roll over and play dead once again on the Alito nomination. There will be no fillibuster, Senate aids are saying, and almost half the Dems will probably vote for the Alito nomination.
What a bunch of whimps. Frankly, I just don't understand what's wrong with them. What the heck are they afraid of? If anything, they are alienating their base. And, they certainly aren't winning any friends among the independents by being whimps. It's just unbelievable how cowed these schmucks are.
I'm beginning to think we need a new party, but unfortunately I have no idea how that could ever come about.
Update: Maybe there's some hope. Harry Reid sounds as though he's planning something.
