Special Counsel Required for Abramoff

I hope he's wrong, but Steve Soto suggests the White House may be managing the Abramoff case. He suspects that the Administration may try to limit the damage to Congress and side-step and investigation of links to the Administration. He also suspects the political hacks running the Justice Department may try to implicate Harry Reid and Byron Dorgan so they can argue that this is not just a Republican scandal. Soto argues the need for a special counsel to get this stuff out of the hands of the political hacks. I agree, but I doubt there's much hope for that.
