Fixing the law is like "fixing the intelligence"
John Avarosis in response to the news that Sen. Pat Roberts, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee had reached a deal with the White House to "fix" the FISA law, thus rendering moot the need for an inquiry into the domestic surveillance program:
Imagine a country where the government can routinely violate federal law by spying on its own innocent citizens, and when it gets caught, it simply "fixes" the law. That means, it changes the law in order to make the illegal behavior legal.
Communist China?
Soviet Russia?
Cuba?
North Korea?
Islamist Iran?
George Bush's United States of America?
Well, yes!
