How to prepare for bird flu

This may have been out for awhile, but it just came to my attention. The government is recommending that we begin stockpiling food, water, and medicines in preparation for a bird flu pandemic. Some reports say a four to five week supply might be required when services break down.

This sound pretty scary to me. A whole hell of a lot worse than 9/11. But, is anybody really doing anything about it? Not as far as I can see.

After FEMA's mess in the aftermath of Katrina and the screwed up introduction of (the inherently screwy) Medicare D, I reckon we should all stockpile supplies against the advent of any eventuality in which the efforts of Bushco's federal government are required.

No more "God bless America": I'm holding for "God save America." And al Qaeda is not the worst enemy from which we need saving.
