White House protests Times article on levees
According to the Grudge Drudge Report (to which I will not link), the White House is demanding
the New York Times retract its story today about the New Orleans' levees because of the following paragraph;
The White House is insisting that the report is inaccurate since Bush was actually in San Diego that day.
Fine, what the Times should do is print a correction noting that Bush flew the wrong direction from his ranch in Texas after learning about the levee breaches. Perhaps he was afraid the flooding would get to Crawford.

Mr. Chertoff, similarly confident, flew Tuesday to Atlanta for a briefing on avian flu. With power out from the high winds and movement limited, even news reporters in New Orleans remained unaware of the full extent of the levee breaches until Tuesday.
