The Patriot Act rag

The Senate Republicans have just announced they have reached a deal with the White House on the Tyranny Patriot Act. Whether this is good news or bad depends on the details. There's no news yet on what changes have been agreed to. My guess is, not many. My guess is the whole idea is to force the Democrats into a position where they either have to block the law with a fillibuster (and then be accused of being pro-al Qaeda) or vote for the law despite it's aggressive attack on the Bill of Rights.

In a comment to KISSweb's earlier post, I said the way for the Dems to prove they are strong is to stand up for what they believe. Let's see what happens. I'm not counting my chickens yet.
