"Very, Very Well" Where?

I have the impression from recent news that nobody but nobody, without very substantial military protection, will venture outside the Green Zone in Baghdad – that it’s just too dangerous out there, at least in the predominantly Sunni areas. (The Iraqi general for Baghdad was assassinated yesterday, with suspicions that it might have been done by an Iraqi army infiltrator.) Does anybody have any reasonably reliable reported facts on this? When General Pace tells Tim Russert things are going “very, very well” in Iraq, does he really mean inside the Green Zone? And why doesn’t the fearless bulldog Russert at least ask him where in Iraq he is talking about? (Maybe instead of Bulldog Russert, sometimes it seems like "Bullfrog Russert" might be more apropos.)
