Tip of the Iceberg

John Avarosis at Americablog had a reader make an important point about the USA Today revelations. The article says that the massive database the government created is the "largest database in the world." As the caller points out, if the database is comprised only numbers called from and to, date and time, and length of call, there are many databases that are far larger. However, if there were audio files maintained for each call, that could easily be the largest database in the world.

Meanwhile, John also tells us that Verizon Wireless denies having anything to do with this program.

Hmmm. It looks like we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg.
