Bush approval v. Homeland Security approval

The news that Bush didn't get a bounce in the latest CBS poll from the foiled terror plot has been bouncing around the net all day. [His approval remains at 36% in that poll.] I'm hoping the reason is that the extent of his duplicity has finally sunk in so thoroughly in the minds of most Americans that nothing short of a miracle will give him a bounce. That's what I'm hoping. Unfortunately, I still can't bring myself to believe it. When 70% of Americans think that banning water on all airplanes is a good idea, I can't believe they've gotten smart about Bush.
