The Baghdad Moat

The more I think about the cockamamie plan to ring Baghdad with a moat to keep out the bad guys, the more it reminds me of the equally cockamamie plan to defoliate the DMZ that Robert S. McNamara implemented in the Vietnam war for the same reason. That one worked really well too, didn't it?
