A great week for America!

I can't tell how he's fared with public opinion this week, but Bush has had a terrible week on other fronts. The Bolton nomination appears to be dead. Arlen Specter's bill to give the prez every power he wants to spy on anyone he wants to spy on was successfully blocked by the Democrats. His attempt to get Congress to okay his kangaroo courts looks as though it's in deep trouble with his own party. His attempts to legalize torture have also taken a hit within his own party. A third judge has refused to block a trial on the NSA spying program, despite government assertion of the state secrets privilege. And, finally, the ABC docudrama thing seems to have completely backfired, not just for ABC, but for the thugs that are trying to falsify the story of 9/11 as well. Bush has been planning to make a speech in the middle of the show. We'll see how that goes.

If it's a bad week for Bush, it's a good week for America.
