NY Times dutifully doing Karl Rove's bidding

Now, exactly why do you suppose that the NY Times felt compelled to put out a hate piece against John Murtha, front page, above the fold today? This piece could have been written at any time. There's nothing whatever that's new news in it. It couldn't be, could it, that they felt compelled to "balance" the paper since it also had a piece on Foley on the front page? And, by the way, the Foley piece was a pussycat, mostly talking about how the page boys loved him (not quite the way he wanted to love them). Of course, the fact that an election is nearing might have had something to do with it as well. Recall how they held the presses on the NSA spying scandal so that it wouldn't influence the 2004 elections?

Disgusting. And, this is supposed to be the "liberal" wing of the "liberal main stream media."
