Rejecting the Baker Commission report

The inside the beltway wisdom among the talking heads is that the Baker Commission report, which is due to be given to the President shortly after the elections this November, will be the President's out to start a withdrawal from Iraq.

However, it appears more and more likely to me that the President is going to refuse to follow the Commission's recommendations. In his news conference the other day, he may a point of saying only that he would listen to the recommendations. And, more recently Tony Snow seems to be saying that anything that smacks of withdrawal or federalizing Iraq is a non-starter.

Once more, Bush is going to flash the bird at his dad's buddies.
