Side benefit of absentee voting?

As I've mentioned before, my wife and I voted by absentee ballot several weeks ago. I'm beginning to think there may be a great side effect of doing that. I have yet to receive ANY political calls, robo or otherwise, in this election cycle. Is that because my name is now off the list of available voters for today's election? I don't know, but if it is, it is a great reason to vote absentee.
