Begin the Jihad

Bush ended his speech last night with the following words:

We go forward with trust that the Author of Liberty will guide us through these trying hours.

Chris Hedges, author of the new book American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America told us on the Sam Seder show (Air America) this morning that those are code words for the fascist right. Liberty to the evangelicals doesn't mean what most of us mean by liberty. It means subserviating oneself to Christ to join in His Jihad against the heathen world.
