A Rant about Headlines, Part II
This morning there are two front page stories, among others, in the New York Times. Both stories deal with radical new initiatives; one by Democrats trying to enhance port security, the other by Republican governor Schwarzenneger, expanding health care to all Californians. The headline to the story on the Democrats proposal is, "House Democrats' Security bill Draws Doubt, Even Inside the Party." The headline to the story on Schwarzenneger's proposal is, "California Plan for Health Care Would Cover All."
Now, let me speculate how those headlines would have read if Democrats had proposed the California plan and Republicans had proposed the port security measure.

REPUBLICANS PLAN TO INSPECT ALL AIR AND SEA CARGO WITHIN THREE YEARS
