War and brutality

Americablog has two video clips on Iraq showing why they hate us. One shows an American driven truck deliberately running car after car (and a bus to boot) off the road by smashing into their rears. The second shows a group of Americans that come across an injured dog only able to walk on two legs. They begin to taunt the poor creature mercilessly before deciding to kill it.

In addition to being why they hate us, these films demonstrate what war does to us. These guys, who would probably be pretty decent human beings if they weren't thrown into to midst of constant danger. Now, they've been turned into brutes.

I'm not against all wars, but when you see what it can do to people, you have to conclude that it should be the last recourse.
