We didn't get where we are today by ...

Some people are so idiotic it almost makes you laugh. Via Talking Points Memo, here's Ben Bridges (R, naturally) of the Georgia state legislature.

“Indisputable evidence — long hidden but now available to everyone — demonstrates conclusively that so-called ‘secular evolution science’ is the Big-Bang 15-billion-year alternate ‘creation scenario’ of the Pharisee Religion,” reads the letter that went out under Bridges' name. “This scenario is derived concept-for-concept from Rabbinic writings in the mystic ‘holy book’ Kabbala dating back at least two millennia.”

And, it gets even better:

“the earth is not rotating … nor is it going around the sun.”

And, I suppose, the moon is made of swiss cheese, and the space program is a conspiracy to cover up the truth. It truly makes you wonder how we got where we are today... whoooops, that is how we got where we are today.
