Congress has no oversight responsibility over White House

I see from Talking Points Memo that Snow didn't just say this once today. He said it repeatedly to several different people, so it's obviously a key part of the message that the White House is trying to put out there. No one - absolutely no one - has the right to look over the shoulder of the White House. There will be no oversight. And, if the Courts step into it, the Courts be damned. L'état c'est moi.

And what we're trying to do is something pretty extraordinary. The legislative branch has no oversight responsibility over the White House. [emphasis added]

Now we will see whether any Reoublicans in Congress have any guts. Don't bet on it. It's not just Democrats who are too chicken to stand up for what they know is right.
