The whole barrel is rotten

It's not just the eight apples at the top of the barrel. It's beginning to look as though the rot has infected the entire Justice Department. There's the mucking around with the cigarette cases I mentioned in the post just below. There's now evidence that the Justice Department mucked around with the investigation into the Republicans' jamming the phone lines at Democratic headquarters in New Hampshire during the 2002 elections, delaying indictments until after the 2004 election. There are questions about the Abramoff investigation. There's the question about the Jerry Lewis investigation. Everywhere you look, you smell the rot.

These guys seem to have thought that the government of this country was their private plaything.
