A factoid

While riding the chair lift with a fellow skier earlier this week, I learned that the fuel consumed for every bomb dropped on Iraq would drive a Honda Civic around the world three times, and that doesn't include the daily tanker of fuel consumed by the aircraft carriers from which many of the planes fly.

Now, I have no idea whether that's exactly true or not, but I'm sure it's in the ballpark.

So, we could say we're bombing the world into global warming.
