Who cares if they can fight? It's the numbers we want

As usual, the Bush administration is more concerned with appearance than reality. Now, via TPM Muckraker, we learn from Salon that the Army is re-deploying back to Iraq injured soldiers who are unable to fight:

As the military scrambles to pour more soldiers into Iraq, a unit of the Army's 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Benning, Ga., is deploying troops with serious injuries and other medical problems, including GIs who doctors have said are medically unfit for battle. Some are too injured to wear their body armor, according to medical records.

Really, what more do you need to know about this administration to come to the conclusion it's time to impeach?
