If you think things can't get worse ...

According to the Jerusalem Post, senior U.S. military officers have decided to back Bush and push for an attack on Iran.

A high-ranking American military officer told the Post that senior officers in the US armed forces had thrown their support behind Bush and believed that additional steps needed to be taken to stop Iran.

Predictions within the US military are that Bush will do what is needed to stop Teheran before he leaves office in 2009, including possibly launching a military strike against its nuclear facilities.

The Post also says it is highly likely that the U.S. will attack Iran before the end of the Bush presidency.

Iran's Ahmadinejad has stated repeatedly that he intends to, "Remove Israel from the map." And he has no pretentions about his determination to see Islam encompass the United States, the world. His favorite Tehran mullah recently told him in a fatwah, "To kill no more than 2 million Americans with nuclear weapons", as it was not in keeping with the Koran. This minute, thousands of centrifuges are spinning up uranium for nuclear weapons. What does Kissweb propose our strategy be, if any? Is there any time at which Kissweb thinks we should stop Iran from placing these into nukes? Does Kissweb trust Ahmadinejad and those who behead non-believers, more than his own citizen leaders, more than his neighbors from his town who are at this momnent, fighting and dying to protect Kissweb, probably people Kissweb went to high school with (assuming an immature youth, here)? I wonder where the Left in the US would take us...and leave us, given their way.
