Priorities

McJoan at Daily Kos hits the nail on the head by observing that when Adm. William Fallon took al Maliki to the woodshed, he demanded that Iraq pass an oil sharing law within the month. This is the law designed to benefit BIG OIL. It's a matter of priorities, of course. Getting the Iraqi military in shape so that our guys could leave is clearly less important than enriching the fat cats in the oil patch.
