William Jefferson indicted

The news is out that William Jefferson (D-Miss) has been indicted. Good. This guy has been tainting the Democratic Party for too long. Maybe now we can get rid of him altogether without the Black Caucus shouting and screaming racism. The crooked must go, whatever party they are from, and it's pretty clear that this guy is a crook.

And, by the way, when did a Republican say that about Republicans who have been indicted or even convicted (forget the self-confessed criminals like Duke Cunningham)? Republicans are still running around saying Scooter was the greatest guy in the world. Tom DeLay is writing books and giving speeches with Republican support. The Governor of Kentucky has just won his primary bid for a second run despite multiple indictments. And, who in the Republican Party is standing up to criticize these guys? Few if any is the answer.
