Experimentation
Buried in the AP story yesterday about al Maliki saying Iraq didn't need the U.S. troops, was this little gem that I missed until Americablog brought it to my attention:
Now, I'm no fan of the Iraq government, but this guy put his finger on the mark with that comment. This has been the neo-con's experiment in their theory of world events from the start. There are only two problems with that. 1) You don't experiment on countries and 2) when you do experiment on countries, please learn something from the outcome of your experiment. This experiment has proved the neo-cons' theory dead wrong, but they seem unable to admit that. They just want to go experiment somewhere else now, like Iran.
One of his [al Maliki's] top aides accused the United States of embarrassing the Iraqi government by violating human rights and treating his country like an "experiment in a U.S. lab."
