Yeah, we broke the law. So, what are you going to do about it?

Rove's aid didn't say much in his testimony today (executive privilege), but he did more or less admit that everyone's use of the RNC e-mail system instead of the government e-mail system for official business was probably illegal. TPM Muckraker goes on to say:

So even though Jennings was aware that this was a problem and apparently raised the issue with a supervisor, he was told to ignore it. That doesn't quite square with the White House explanation for the illegal use of the RNC accounts, which is "oops."

So, as I understand this, the White House is essentially saying, "Yeah, we broke the law. So what? What are you going to do about it? Just try to punch us out." (Reminds me a lot of the town bully where I grew up.)

Of course, this is by no means the first time they've done it, nor is it probably the worst. After all, there's the Terrorist Surveillance Program as just one of many other instances.
