Where Rice gets some of her Double Speak

We can’t blame it all on Sec. of State Rice. Her staff is a bad influence as evidenced by the press conference last month held by Spokesperson Shawn McCormack. A few examples:

When challenged on lack of progress in war on terror, he blamed it on weak leadership in Pakistan and Iraq, the same leaders the US is supporting.
He ducked every military question, e.g. how many troops at top of the surge, but claimed only a small percent of Iraq troops are overextended on their tours (false).
Inflated level of Arab fluent staff at Dept of State. No wonder; there are 212 out of 12,000.
