With Democrats like these, who needs Republicans; Part III?

When I saw this, I almost puked:

WASHINGTON, July 31 — Under pressure from President Bush, Democratic leaders in Congress are scrambling to pass legislation this week to expand the government’s electronic wiretapping powers.

Will they never learn? They're so frightened of their own shadows they feel they have to do something to "look" tough. This is the same mistake they made going into the war, the same mistake they made when they passed the Patriot Act, the same mistake they made when they re-authorized the Patriot Act. To give any more powers to this president is utterly insane.
