Sour grapes?

You know, I'd be a lot more inclined to listen to retired Gen. Ricardo Sanchez's criticisms of the Bush administration's handling of the Iraq war if a) he hadn't been such a Bush puppet back when he was actually running the war and b) he hadn't been fired because abu Ghraib happened on his watch. True as his criticism may be, it sounds too much like a) trying to shift the blame and b) sour grapes.
