The army of thugs and crooks

So, the military says it's going to relax recruiting standards:

WASHINGTON - Faced with higher recruiting goals, the Pentagon is quietly looking for ways to make it easier for people with minor criminal records to join the military, The Associated Press has learned.

It's hard to see how they could relax them much more, as they're already recruiting convicted felons. Furthermore, how would you like robbers and murderers sleeping next to you in your fox hole?

Of course, I suppose anything goes when we have a president who is guilty of virtually every war crime in the book. Why not have an army made up of thugs and crooks?
