News, but is it good or bad?

Don't know whether this is good or bad news:

The Senate Judiciary Committee is delaying consideration of a controversial proposal to grant legal immunity to telecommunications companies that facilitated a warrantless wiretapping program.

I don't have a lot of confidence that the Dems on the committee will stand up against the telcoms. In particular, there's the utter fink, Dianne Feinstein who has already endorsed retroactive immunity. Some now claim she's waffling, but that may be just like the Specter waffle -- waffling all the way to Bush.
