Remarkable

The most remarkable thing just happened on the House floor. Dennis Kucinich introduced his impeach Cheney bill. Democrat whip Hoyer made a motion to table it, thinking that would easily kill the discussion. At first both Republicans and Democrats voted to table, and it appeared the motion to table had succeeded. Suddenly, however, all the Republicans began to switch their votes and in the end, the motion to table failed. They're now debating whether to refer it to committee.

It appears that the Thuglicans think forcing a debate on this will be to their advantage. I think they're wrong.

Update: It's now been referred to the House Judiciary Committee. Exactly what that means, I don't know.
