Padilla sues Yoo

I saw this yesterday but didn't have time to blog about it. Jose Padilla is suing John Yoo for writing the legal opinion authorizing Padilla's torture. From what I can tell, this is a trial for damages in Federal District Court. It's rather a novel idea I think. Somehow, I doubt it will go very far, but who knows?
