Just thinking

I hear that there is labor strife in the NFL that might jeopardize the next season of professional football.

It seems to me there are two possible outcomes to this. On the one hand, people may be so incensed at the unions for depriving them of their weekly opiate of gore and mayhem that they cheer on the Republicans as they outlaw all unions forever.

On the other hand, without the weekly slaughter of gladiators and Christians to dull their minds and divert their attention from more important matters, the unwashed public might actually wake up, figure out what's really going on in this country, and vote the bums out.

Flip a coin.

[You will note that there is one thing that will never, ever happen. The public will never blame the team owners for the shutdown because they have the megaphone.]
