Poll watching
I've been reviewing the results of the latest CNN/Gallup poll. There's not too much that's remarkable. Bush approval remains stable at 43%. I can't understand why, but his approval ratings on handling of terrorism are still strong, 52% approve v. 44% disapprove. He gets a terrible 31% approval on health care.
One surprise is that by 58% to 39% Americans want to appoint a special prosecutor to explore whether Bush broke the law by authorizing warrantless wiretaps.
Another is that 66% do not want Roe overturned. Unfortunately, only 34% believe Alito would vote to overturn, while 44% believe he would not. What that proves is how ineffective the Democrats were in setting this thing up.
