FAUX NEWS the most trusted news source in the US

Sometime ago, I quoted Billmon as follows:

What the health of the Republic requires, in other words, may not be a new crop of leakers and whistleblowers, or a fresh young generation of Woodwards and Bernsteins -- or even a more independent, aggressive media. What it may need is a new population…

Today's news that Fox News is the most trusted source of news in the US seems to confirm that:

LONDON (Reuters) - One-quarter of consumers abandoned a news source over the past year because they lost trust in its reporting, according to a new survey that also found the BBC, Fox News and Al Jazeera the most trusted brands in their respective home regions.
As it turns out, only 11 percent said that, but still, Fox won the plurality. Maybe we only need to rid ourselves of 11 percent of the population.
