Chafee defeats challenger from the far right

Ordinarily, I'd be pleased to see a so-called "moderate" Republican like Lincoln Chafee defeat his upstart challenger from the far right, but these aren't ordinary times. This makes it far more difficult for the Democrat, Whitehouse, to take this Rhode Island senate seat. As long as Chafee holds this seat, he will continue to enable the crazy antics of his puppeteers on the far right. It's too bad, but this is not a time to be voting for individuals regardless of their party. This is a time when we have to rid ourselves of one party, and the only way of doing that is to elect the other party to power.
