Where have all the babies gone?

The Baby Bells, that is.

Gone to mama, (almost) everyone. When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?

Nynex, BellAtlantic = Verizon
Bell South, Southwestern Bell, PacTel, Ameritech = AT&T (not the old AT&T, but the old SWB)
US West = Qwest (bankrupt)

Think of all the effort that went into breaking up the AT&T monopoly. Then, think about the fact that there's hardly been a peep as AT&T moves to gobble up Bell South.

We now have one of the least competitive and highest priced communications systems in the developed world.

Heck of a job, Bushie.
