Getting religion

Isn't it amazing how, now that the Democrats are in the ascendency, Republicans are beginning to actually worry about vote fraud on the voting machines... even in Republican controlled Florida:

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Feb. 1 — Gov. Charlie Crist announced plans on Thursday to abandon the touch-screen voting machines that many of Florida’s counties installed after the disputed 2000 presidential election. The state will instead adopt a system of casting paper ballots counted by scanning machines in time for the 2008 presidential election.

Republicans weren't concerned about this when they were running the show, because they knew they could pull the strings on the fixed machines. With Democrats in control, I guess the Republicans fear the Dems will do the same thing they were doing.

Good. At least we'll get the problem fixed.
