A vote of confidence in Gonzales

The Democrats are planning to bring up the no-confidence in Gonzales vote on Monday, but they are already admitting they don't have the votes to pass it. This is one more failure of leadership in the Party as far as I can tell. If they had brought it up before the Memorial Day recess, the Republicans wouldn't have had a chance to get themselves organized and on message. Instead, the Dems sat on their hands and went home to smell the roses. Now the Thuglicans have gotten themselves organized, and even the ones who want Gonzales to quit are going to vote against the no confidence measure in order to thwart the Democrats.

It's hardly worth holding the vote. Gonzales and Bush will interpret it as a vote OF confidence.
