Gonzales helping to design Iraq's legal system

Beyond belief:

WASHINGTON --Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, under fire at home with calls for his resignation, is spending some time in Iraq.

The Justice Department said that Gonzales arrived in Baghdad on Saturday for his third trip to Iraq to meet with department officials who have been there to help fashion the country's legal system.

A bit like sending the school janitor into the operating room to perform open heart surgery. This is a man who doesn't know the difference between the truth and a lie and who can't remember where he was ten minutes ago.

But, one thing we can be comforted to know. Iraq's legal system will work just about as effectively as it's government.
